Black Country Investment (BCI)
BCI provides inward investment support for SMEs operating within all sectors to invest in Sandwell, Dudley and Walsall and includes grants for new buildings that will be a catalyst for new jobs. Relocation grants up to £12,000 may be available for non retail high growth SMEs looking to invest in high technology and innovation and relocate to the Black Country.
Birmingham City Council offers assistance to business in North East Birmingham particularly Nechells, Washwood Heath, Hodge Hill, and Tyburn to help improve land and premises and offers a 30% grant towards the cost of the total project. The minimum size of the project is £6,000 with a maximum of £50,000 available.
The Innovation network encourages collaboration within a group of SMEs and funding is available to assist the development of new products, processes and services for companies within West Midlands objective 2 areas. The grants are up to £10,000 for staff and running costs and £15,000 for capital equipment.
Grant support is available for business carrying out highly innovative R&D which will provide a significant technological breakthrough. The grants are for Micro Projects, Research Projects, Development Projects and Exceptional Development Projects with different conditions and amounts contributed depending on project classification.
Grant aid is available to assist a "project" of capital expenditure on the launch, expansion or modernisation of business in a designated area. The level of grant available within the West Midlands is subject to size of business and business location. |
